The Peter Wentz Farmstead Society
The mission of the Society is to assist in the preservation and study of the 18th century way of life. The mission is to include the history of Montgomery County and the history and customs of the surrounding areas.
This includes but is not limited to researching, preserving and restoring the land, buildings and furnishings as well as the writings, art, culture of its time in an authentic historic setting. The Society will assist in collecting and assembling historic documents and other pertinent materials and assist with the dissemination of information.
We will further:
- Help coordinate public interest
- Activate public interest
- Interpret for the public and schools with programs and experiences
- Sponsor fundraising activities
